BACKGROUND:
UTGP (UT Grand Prix) is an annual T-shirt design contest organized by UNIQLO, a globally recognized clothing brand. This contest invites artists and designers from all over the world to showcase their creativity and submit unique T-shirt designs. With each edition centered around a specific theme or collaboration, UTGP provides a platform for emerging talent to express their artistic visions and gain exposure on an international scale. Through a meticulous judging process, winning designs are selected and transformed into limited-edition T-shirts, making them available for purchase at UNIQLO stores worldwide. UTGP not only celebrates artistic expression but also fosters a sense of community and global creativity within the fashion industry.

DESIGN:
In 2012, I had the opportunity to participate in UTGP (UT Grand Prix) with a contest theme centered around Coca-Cola. I crafted a dynamic typographic chart for my entry that captured the essence of Coca-Cola's slogans from 1886 to 2011. Inspired by DNA fingerprints, my concept aimed to convey the brand's vibrant and energetic spirit while paying homage to its remarkable 125-year history. I received a runner-up prize for my design, made available for purchase worldwide, enabling Coke enthusiasts to wear a piece that celebrated the brand's legacy.
