BACKGROUND:
Corning Incorporated is a multinational technology company that specializes in the manufacturing of specialty glass, ceramics, and related materials. The company's products are used in a variety of applications, including display technologies for televisions and mobile devices, optical communication networks, automotive components, and life sciences research. Additionally, Corning Incorporated is a leading provider of environmental technologies, including emissions control products for the automotive industry and glass substrates used in the production of solar panels.
ROLE:
Corning Brand Design & S+G invited me to participate in a rebranding project focused on creating new visual systems. As part of this initiative, I developed a distinctive illustration style that embodies Corning's brand strategy and narratives. The inspiration behind the illustration system was to convey the dynamic energy of Corning and bring it to life through visual storytelling. To accomplish this, we used a vibrant blue color as the foundation and included other colors that captured the company's energy and helped craft a compelling visual narrative. The sustainability report illustration is the initial project that showcases implementing this illustration style in practice.
